England Squads Announced for the 2008 UK School Games

The English Schools' Table Tennis Association in conjunction with the English Table Tennis Association is pleased to announce the teams selected to represent the English Regions at the UK School Games to be held at Bristol & Bath from 28th - 31st August 2008.

 

Each regional team consists of four boys/4 girls and their NPCs. Players have also been selected to take part in three categories of disability events: Standing, Wheelchair and Learning Disability.

 

English Regional Teams:

Head of Delegation - John Blackband

  • Midlands: Christopher Doran, Gavin Evans, Damien Nicholls, Liam Pitchford, Emily Bates, Lucy Davidson, Natalie Slater, Emma Vickers and NPCs - Greg Yarnall and Helen Lower.
  • North East: Graeme Barella, Kim Daybell, Justin Ma, Mark Simpson, Rachel Greener, Karina Le Fevre, Chloe Whyte, Melissa Wright and NPCs - Dennis Worrell and Jane Durham.
  • North West: Scott Crawford, Jamie Hewitt, Jacob Shaw, Matthew Weatherby, Reena Ardeshana, Fiona Dennett, Caroline Hallows, Jordyn Layfield and NPCs - Andrew Rushton and Gail Johns.
  • South East: Wing-Yung Chan, Alim Hirji, Darius Knight, William Maybanks, Yolanda King, Haylee Potts, Sarra Wang, Kirsty Wilson and NPCs - Paul Birch and Gemma Chapman.
  • South West: Garth Kinlocke, Richard Marshall, Darren Reed, Mathew Ware, Hannah Hicks, Ayonija Sundararajan, Martha Travis, Joy Whitehorn and NPCs - Chris Brown and Sally Smith.

Players selected for the Disability Events:

  • Standing: Ella Booker, Krysten Coombs, Patrick Cox, Andrew Harper, Aaron McKibbin, Michael Pope, Lee Wilkinson.
  • Wheelchair: Nicko Anderson, Hannah Coulthurst, Jack Hunter-Spivey, Jack Pegram, Amanda Phillips, Tyler Paul.
  • Learning: Liam Brown, Bobby Dunbar, Krystian Holland, Alex Southern.
  • NPCs for Disability Events: Farrel Anthony, Matthew Billingsley, Mark Palmer, Lisa Standen, Casey Whitehouse.
